Innovative and sustainable fish farming with Recirculating Aquaculture Systems

There is currently a lot of focus on developing more environmentally friendly and sustainable land-based fish and shellfish farming. One type of land-based fish farming is Recurculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), which means that fish and shellfish are farmed in controlled environments in, for example, tanks, basins and ponds on land.

Fish farming with salmon can be both land-based (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems, RAS) or sea-based. Fish farming is important for global seafood production.
