What is EFC?

The EFC from EXAIR is a user-friendly electronic flow control system for compressed air pipework. The system is designed to reduce compressed air consumption when compressed air products are used for blowing, drying, cooling, moving or anti-static treatment.

The EFC combines a photoelectric sensor with a timer in such a way that the compressed air supply is interrupted as soon as no part is detected. The timer provides easy control over the switching on and off of the system using 8 programmable on/off modes.

Why use EFC?

In most businesses, the air compressor consumes more electricity than any other tool. A simple application using compressed air products can cost thousands of euros in energy consumption if not carefully monitored. The EFC is designed to increase efficiency by minimising compressed air consumption, thereby reducing the cost of compressed air. The compressed air is only supplied when a part is present, providing just enough air for the specific task.

The EFC has a simple electrical connection for 100V - 240V AC, 50/60Hz, allowing it to be used worldwide. The compact photoelectric sensor has a sensitivity setting and can detect objects up to 1 metre away. The sensor is highly resistant to noise and inductive charges and can be easily installed in confined spaces. The control system offers flexibility with many setting options. Thanks to the polycarbonate housing, the sensor is suitable for many applications, even in wet environments.

EXAIR Compressed air products are designed to optimise and streamline various industrial processes, and to improve the working environment.

The product range includes air knives, blow nozzles, blow guns, pneumatic vacuum conveyors and products for discharging static electricity.

EXAIR products are used in the manufacturing industry for

  • blowing clean using compressed air
  • cooling
  • drying
  • surface treatment
  • material transport (suction conveyors)
  • industrial cleaning
  • discharge of static electricity

EXAIR was founded in 1983 with the aim of providing the manufacturing industry with safer and more efficient air-powered products. The basic principle was to manufacture and supply the market with high quality products at a reasonable price.
