The EXAIR NEMA 4 (IP66) control cabinet cooler includes a low pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and the air outlet in the cabinet. This valve closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the NEMA integrity of the electronic enclosure.
NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet coolers are available in many cooling capacities for large and small switchboards. Unlike an expensive Freon-based air conditioner, EXAIR cabinet coolers have a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air - with no moving parts. They can be installed within minutes via a standard electrical cut-out.
NEMA 4 Cabinet Cooler® systems are available with thermostatic control or as a continuous operating system. Each of these systems includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering your enclosure and a cold air distribution kit used to direct air for circulation or to hot spots. All enclosure coolers are UL certified and CE compliant. They are an inexpensive, reliable way to cool and ventilate electronic control panels.
Control cabinet coolers are particularly suitable for systems that only require temporary cooling. If the temperature rises in summer and the cabinet is no longer sufficiently cooled, control cabinet cooling can be activated. Even in environments where the ambient temperature is generally high or where the air contains a lot of dust or dirt, switch cabinet coolers are often the only solution. Fans are then of little use and only blow dust or dirt into the control cabinet. Devices operate with difficulty at high temperatures and break down much faster. Dusty spaces do not only require cooling in the control cabinet to keep the dirt out.
