Spin vane DS8000

Spin vane DS8000 is used to separate high quantities of larger droplets from vertical and horizontal gas flows at high velocities.

The simple design makes the spin vane very suitable for gas flows containing larger particles and also minimises the risk of clogging.

Separation of larger droplets at high gas velocities

Design and function

A ring of spin vanes set the gas flow in rotation. As a result, the liquid droplets are spun outwards, impinging on the separator wall and are subsequently drained off in an annular compartment. The liquid then flows through a discharge pipe and out of the system.

The simple design makes the spin vane very suitable for gas flows containing larger particles and also minimises the risk of clogging.

Spin vane is suitable for gas flows up to 8-12 m/s.

Choice of material

Choice of material depends on the temperature and composition of the gas stream, among other things. Spin vane is manufactured in the standard materials PE, PP, PVC, FRP and stainless steel. It is also available in other materials if required.

Checklist important parameters

In order to offer an effective and sustainable solution, below are a number of process parameters that are important to consider when selecting and designing a droplet separator.

Sometimes it is difficult or even impossible to obtain information and data regarding the specific process. Together with our suppliers, we have extensive experience and we can make sound assumptions as a basis for designing the best solution for the process.
